I have mainly used Neenah classic crest solar white for most of my cardmaking to date. Being a bit of a fan of Simon Hurley I thought I would give it a try; he says its great for ink blending. It takes stamps well and colouring with altenew artist markers looks great. Have got to ink blending yet but I'm happy with it so far. I think I would stick with heavy weight Neenah for card bases but this would be a great option for card fronts.
This cardstock is great for backgrounds needing a super bright white, or a heavy base. I’ve compared it to Neenah Clsssic Cresit Solar White and this is definitely whiter. It is sturdy and holds up well, too, as a card base or to vigorous blending techniques. Love it!
Simon explains in his videos what cards and pound weights are best and why. After I got mine last week have made two cards with it. Holds color well and it is great!
This bright white cardstock is wonderful for ink blending, love to use for my cards. Heavy weight allows you to use for light water application.
This paper is different than regular card stock. Simon Hurley inks blend so much better on this paper I is fabulous!
This is the best paper for stealing and ink blending.

Is there a "right" side to the Simon Hurley Stark White Cardstock? One side might look a bit smoother, but is that just me? Both sides take the ink and blend well.

Hello. The Ranger Ink - Simon Hurley - 8.5 x 11 Cardstock - Stark White will not work well with fluid alcohol inks, as the manufacturer states that liquid alcohol ink will quickly saturate this paper. Simon Hurley Stark White Cardstock is a porous, 110 lb surface specifically engineered for stamping, stenciling, and water-based dye inks.

Simon Hurley create. Cardstock is meant for stamping and using pigment and dye-based inks. Alcohol Ink will saturate this type of paper. The best surfaces to use for alcohol Ink are Glossy Cardstock, Foil Sheets or Yupo. You need a surface that has a coating and is smooth so the ink will sit on top and move around until it sets to dry.
