Looking at the picture, I thought the cake could be cut out in layers of different colors. Not so. The die only makes an impression so you can only cut the cake out in one color. If I am wrong, please could someone please help me. I was disappointed for that reason alone. I do love the candles and the way they lit up with the pretty lights and the paper pad was great.
I would recommend only if you want a cake in one color. I only purchased the set because of the different colors of the cake pictured.
This bundle is a lot of fun to work with! The paper quality is great, and the dies cut cleanly. The cake piece is easy to use, and I cut some foil with it for a silly, shiny cake piece that came out perfectly. There's plenty of value in the paper, candles and cake piece alone - the ice cream and scoops of fun wording are really a bonus!
This is such an amazing bundle. I am NOT a card maker, but I will be using this bundle to make Birthday cards, in addition to scrapbook layouts!
Perfect timing too (May kicks off our extended family's birthday season).

Hello- I purchased this set and the cake slice die only makes impressions of the layers instead of cutting them out like one of the videos shows. Is this correct or did I receive a flawed or updated set? Thank you.
